Layanan Panggilan Ganti Aki Mobil di Shop and Drive

Memesan Layanan Shop and Drive

Catatan

Duh!

Proses penggantian aki baru juga berjalan cepat saja. Berikut beberapa hal terakit proses pembelian/penggantian aki ini:

WordPress 3.3: It looks great!

WordPress team just announced that the new version of WordPress is available. It’s WordPress 3.3 “Sonny”. Matt posted some notes about this release. I have WordPress for multi-site installation, and since the previous upgrade went smoothly — except some minor issues — I had no reasons not to upgrade. It was easy, just took few seconds.
I like the way WordPress greets me with useful information. You will get information about new features. You know what your WordPress installation can do. Nice.

I need some more steps to upgrade since my blog is a network-blog. It took only few extra clicks. When I go to post creation page, I got a tiny  tooltip telling an information about what I can get from this installation. The media uploader is improved now. It’s drag-and-drop now. If you have problem, you can still use the basic uploader. And, it also supports additional files (.rar and .7z).

This release is also great for those who wants to start blogging using WordPress because “Help” provides more details about the current page — yes, it’s depending on the context.

If you want to read all details about this WordPress 3.3, go to WordPress Codex. For me, these are some to highlight:

  • Drag-and-Drop Media Uploader
  • Post-update About screen — After upgrading, you know what the new features are.
  • When inserting a Gallery to be ordered by Date/Time use the post_date field for ordering rather than ID

Let's bring this blog back!

This blog goes nowhere. It’ still here, still up and running, but I realized that there is no single post in the last… (almost) two months. Not to make any excuses, but I think I was busy. I’m still updating my other blog, though.
Few days ago, when I was working on some WordPress-powered blogs, I found that there are some changes. I upgraded some blogs — including some installed plugins, and I also found problems. But, the problems had been solved anyway. I logged in to my dashboard, and run some upgrade processes. One of the problems I found was a WordPress plugin called “Jetpack”. Anyway, if you haven’t heard about Jetpack, here is a little bit detail:

Jetpack is a plugin that connects to WordPress.com and enables awesome features, powered by our cloud infrastructure.

There are already some features included, but I think I only use of: WordPress.com Stats. Previously, I have WordPress.com Stats plugin installed, after having my blog upgraded to Version 3.1, the statistic plugin stopped working and left this message: “Your WordPress.com account is not authorized to view the stats of this blog”. After searching some answers, most of the solutions mentioned about having Jetpack replaced WordPress.com Stats.
But, when I tried to activate Jetpack — by authenticating to  WordPress.com account — it didn’t run smoothly. I got this error:

Your Jetpack has a glitch. Something went wrong that’s never supposed to happen. Guess you’re just lucky: xml_rpc-32601Try connecting again.

I tried again and again. I searched for a solution and the problem was because I have a cache plugin installed. By the way, I use W3 Total Cache. So, I disabled the cache settings, sent an authentication request, and voila! Problem solved. If you find problem just like what I had, now you know the solution.
I also made some theme modification here. I removed some features I considered as “not-too-important”. More importantly, it’s a matter of having some articles posted here. Shoot!

Nokia Messaging for Social Networks Beta: First Impression

Two days ago, I gave Nokia Messaging for Social Networks Beta a try on my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. This application will help Nokia users to keep update with the social media services — in this case Facebook and Twitter. Of course, it’s still in beta so I should not expect too much.
The installation process was easy and I didn’t have any problems. Everything was smooth. This early preview is available on the Nokia N97, Nokia N97 Mini, Nokia 5530, Nokia 5800, and the Nokia X6 devices. Go to messaging.nokia.com if you want to see applications from Nokia Messenging for your device.
After having this application installed, I used it right away. When running the application for the first time, I got this welcome screen:
Home Screen
I use Twitter more than Facebook. First, I use the Twitter feature. Here’s the login sreen:

New design for this blog

I have been very busy in the last few weeks, many things to do. I needed to recharge my energy. And this is the result: a new design for my blog. I created this theme for fun, at least to keep my mood in balance, to bring my mood back to the other design work.
After upgrading to WordPress 2.7 few days ago, I wanted to have some changes here, especially by taking advantages from new features introduced in the latest WordPress, e.g. built-in threaded comment. Here are some notes on my new blog design.

Template tags

Still related to template tags, I try to take advantage from the way WordPress produces CSS selectors. Here is an example. Open index.php in default theme folder, you should see this for the entry loop:

<div <?php post_class() ?> id="post-<?php the_ID(); ?>">

The code above will produce something like this:
<div class="post hentry category-services category-sites category-www category-webdev tag-htaccess tag-facebook tag-linkedin tag-service tag-twitter tag-url" id="post-1026">
Do you see the pattern? It will produce some post classes on the entry data (categories and tags). This function is called post_class(). By this, we can customize how each entry (inside the loop) should be displayed, just work with the stylesheet.
If you want to make you theme compatible well with WordPress 2.7, just head to Migrating Plugins and Themes to 2.7 article at WordPress Codex. There are some other useful information for theme designers — and also for you as bloggers.

Running on WordPress 2.7 branch

I just upgraded my blog to WordPress 2.7-beta1. I took the risk to use the beta release. The upgrade process run smoothly without any issue. The biggest changes are on the Dashboard interface. It took for few minutes to explore the brand new design. But, since I have started using WordPress from the Subversion, I have no problem with that.
There are som new settings and the more handy dasboard. Some personal highlights:

  • Quick access links — expand the link groups. If you think the navigation eats too much space, you can easily move to the icon-style navigation.
  • Hide/show menu elements — For example, when viewing list of comments, you can easily hide the details you don’t want to see e.g. comment posting date. There is a “Screen Option” link on the top navigation on some pages.
  • Quick entry edit — If you only want to edit the title, post status, author, password, categories, tags, comment/trackback and timestamp, you do not need to edit using an entry screen. Just click on the “Quick Edit” link, and save. If you’re using Manageable plugin, you know about this feature. It’s built-in now.
  • Threaded/nested comments — Settings are available from dasboard. You can have upto 5 levels of depth.
  • Paged comments — you can now break comments into pages. Remember WordPress Paged Comments Plugin?
  • Closing comments for older entries
  • Plugin Browser/InstallerI wrote about this before.
  • Date/time-related settings is easier to understand — You can select from the pre-defined values or create custom formats.
  • Sticky post — If you like to have a sticky post on the front page, you can have this feature from the core. You can have this feature using WP-Sticky plugin.

Anyone using the beta version? If so, you should see more new features/improvements there… or probably some bugs.
I like it so far. And, for WordPress theme designer, it’s time to learn about new template tags and structure. Right now, I am still using WordPress theme built for 2.6.x, will modify it when I’m using the new features. Congratulation for WordPress developers!

WordPress 2.6 Upgrades

Today, WordPress 2.6 is available with code name “Tyner”. You can read what features shipped in this version at WordPress Development blog. I have been following WordPress 2.6 since the beta release from Sub Version, and it looks good. So, I upgraded my WordPress install right away. The upgrade process — from WP 2.5.1 — was smooth, without any issues. If you not using the latest version, it’s time to upgrade.
Probably, there are few things to consider before upgrading like plugin and compability. I was there too. If you have plugins that are not supported in the latest version, and you need them so bad, you probably need to wait until the patches are available. Luckily, I have all installed plugins work great here. If you’re still not sure, please do a complete upgrade mechanism: Backup everything. Not only the database, but also the entire WordPress files. It should not be difficult.
After upgrading, I made some adjustments on the settings. For example, the Remote Publishing Settings, and let’s not forget about some other features. If you haven’t touch your wp-config.php files, there are some other settings managed from the configuration file like Post Revisions and some security definition settings. Anyway, WordPress 2.6 has full support of SSL in the core and it has the ability to force SSL for security. Read Ryan Boren‘s post about SSL and Cookies in WordPress 2.6.
So far, my favorites are the Gears for faster browsing experience and Press This. The “Press This” is really smart!

For example, if you click “Press This” from a Youtube page it’ll magically extract the video embed code, and if you do it from a Flickr page it’ll make it easy for you to put the image in your post.

If you like posting short entries in your blog while browsing, make your life easier by this feature. Just drag the link — you can find it on the entry creation page — to your browser toolbar. Want to try it? Download WordPress 2.6 now.

WordPress Upgrade: 1.5.2 to 2.5.1

Yesterday, I helped my client to upgrade some of her WordPress-powered blogs. When I ugpraded WordPress — mine, friends’ or clients’, I found it very easy; and the process run smoothly. The only difference — when I updated my client’s — was that it was a big-jump upgrades: from WordPress 1.5.2 to 2.5.1. I used the standard procedures: backup, backup and backup. Not only the databases, but also the core files. Luckily, my client does not have many plugins installed.
In short, all worked without problems. It took one simple click after uploading the new files — sweet!

WordPress 2.2.3 and WordPress MU 1.2.5

Are you WordPress user? These are some info for you. Last week — I know, it’s probably an old news — WordPress 2.2.3 had been released. This release includes some bug fixes and security issues (see the closed bugs).
If you’re running an older version, download it and upgrade your WordPress installation.
Another release is related to WordPress MU. The latest WordPress MU distribution (1.2.5) released for public on September 10, 2007.
I maintain some WordPress-powered sites, and I am thinking of upgrading all of them this weekend. I hope everything will go smoothly.

Send that Thunderbird to my email

It was started when my friend got problem with his email. The problem was not on the email server, but on the email client. Few weeks before, I suggested my friend to host his email at Google, using Google Apps for Your Domain service. Everything run smoothly, he can check all emails from the web (not using email client).
Then, he wanted to get all email using Microsoft Outlook. I gave him a step-by-step guide on how to connect his Outlook to Google mail server, based on tutorial provided. But it did not work. He always got network password problem all the time. It seems that many people have this kind of problem. I assumed that the problem was not on Google server.
Shortly, I recommended him to use other email clients as an alternative. I recommended Mozilla Thunderbird. Because my friend does not familiar with kind of thing, he told me to talk to his IT guy. Ah, great! It should be easier to do it then, because he lived in different city.
It seemed that his IT guy was not familiar with Thunderbird. When I mentioned about it, he said, “Thunderbird?” Errrr… At that time, I just wanted to solve the email problem as soon as possible. So, I had a short discussion with him:

Me: “The problem is not on the email server, it’s the Outlook. Try to search in the internet, there are many people having this problem.”
IT guy: “Okey, so what should I do?”
Me: “Try another email client. I use Thunderbird, and I have no problem at all. Everything works.”
IT guy: “Is it free?”
Me: “Yes, it’s free. You can download it for free. Download and install it. After that you can read the manual on how to connect your Thunderbird to your email.”
IT guy: “Is it big?”
Me: “No, you can download it in few minutes.”
IT guy: “I need to go first right now. I think I will do it tomorrow.”
Me: “Fine then. You can download it first, and you can install it tomorrow.”
IT guy: “Can you send me the installer to my email address?”
Me: “… … …”

Somebody kill me pleaseeeee!
