On Opera 9.5

I did not wait any longer to download Opera 9.5. It's still fresh, and because I'm comfortable with this . Because I do not have many addons — like in Firefox, I just upgraded it. The process was easy, just like doing a fresh install.
The new interface looks great and well-polished. The window tab is redesigned and I think it's much better than before. Look at the below. It uses the standard skin, special effects-enabled with “Sand” color scheme.
Opera 9.5 Standard Skin
I am not saying that I do not like the new skin desin, but I like to have it simpler. Previously, I use another skin called “Flat”. I want to keep my clean so that I can focus on the content. Here is my current skin using the same color scheme. It has slimmer tabs, not many colors, and smaller … and I like it.
Opera Flat Skin
I do not use all features offered by Opera because I do not use Opera as my other applications like reader, client, or chat. I choose to use web-based like Gmail and Google Reader. About other accessories, I have some Opera widgets installed: Ruler, The Colours of The Rainbow and CSS Help. Well, I miss Firefox when it's about extensions/addons. But, it's fine for me if I do not have them in Opera. :)
I still want to have Opera as my best browser, but I still find it hard to have it really customized for me. I'd like have Greasemonkey really works in Opera. I know, it's said that Greasemonkey already supported by Opera since Opera 8.0 (more about User Javascript). But, I still find it difficult to have work. Anyone? Overall, I love this and I just hope there are more official tutorials to get the most from Opera (for users who already love Firefox); something like: How to get these in Opera?

Image styling in blog entry

When we write an article in our blog, sometime we insert images/ to support our article. And this can be done easily, no matter what platform we use. For example, using we can upload using uploader tool, and with few clicks the image will go to entry editing screen. For better formatting purposes, we can manage how inserted objects should be displayed: floating left, right or in the center. For example, see the image below:

The above image is constructed using codes like this:

Alternate Text

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Quisque mollis. Sed ut eros at ante congue vehicula.

Or, something like this:

Alternate Text

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Quisque mollis. Sed ut eros at ante congue vehicula.

There are many alternatives to have such output. We can use style="float: left;", align="left", align="right", etc. Is it what you want? Probably, yes. But, do you notice that the text is attached to the image? Do you want to insert some space there so that it can please your readers? Now, let's compare with this image.

Opera Mini 4

It's official. Opera Software just released the latest version of Mini after three beta releases. It's Opera Mini 4. In this , there are many improvement as the entire codes were rewritten. Its rendering is also based on Opera 9.5 . Here are some highlights:

  • Overview mode 4 includes a new rendering architecture that allows you to view webpages just like you would on your computer. When you first load a webpage, Opera Mini will show you an overview snapshot of the page; using the new mouse cursor you can instantly zoom in to the selected region of the page.
  • Size of text fits width of screen — Opera Mini 4 dynamically changes the size of the text on webpages to fit the width of your 's screen, meaning you won't have to scroll horizontally.
  • New standards support — Support for tables, CSS handheld stylesheets, and more advanced support for CSS have been added to Opera Mini.
  • More highlights? Visit information page about the release. And do not forget to check the full features.

To download, you have three options: downloading directly from your , PC or using link. Since my old mobile phone (Nokia 3230) is also supported, I think I will an install it.

Oooops.. deleted

If this page loaded with no stylesheets, no need to refresh the page. All stylesheets were gone by accident. I thought I was in the right folder when I did my rm -rf. The command was correct, only not in the right location.
But anyway, I think the document can be read with no problem. Just experience how a loaded without . :)
So, I think I need to build my stylesheets from scratch… see ya!
