In 2009, Indonesian batik is inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization). Type of batik reinforced as World Heritage is a type of “batik tulis” (hand-written batik) and not “batik cap” (printed batik). See more photos about batik from my photoblog.
